Album · 2001 · 13 Songs.

It later received multi-platinum certifications in the . The album saw the band venture away from their typical pop-punk sound with songs like Stay Together for the Kids and Story of a Lonely Guy. The title plays on the use of jacket as an oronym for jack it, in reference to masturbation.

Even though I bought this when I was a rebelling 13 year old to scare away my mom (didn't work by the way), I still like this album. Don't care whether it is punkrock, poppunk, garagecrap or whatever, this is pure nostalgia for me. Most lyrics are about broken hearts ('Story Of A Lonely Guy'), love in general and the insecurities of it ('First Date', 'Roller Coaster',. or just random subjects like being pissed off because you don't get so many christmas presents as other people ('Happy Holidays, You Bastard'.

When Enema of the State leaped onto the charts in 1999, the lyrical direction was 90 percent party-boy mentality, leaving little room for traces of a growth spurt. And while we're still feeling the continual back-drip of tracks from Enema, the fresh plethora of tunes from these rambunctious Toys-R-Us rockers have more purpose than ever.

Released date 12 June 2001. Music StylePunk-Rock. Members owning this album77.

But as they plow in their relatively un-self-conscious way through the emotional hurdles of lust, terror, pain and rage, they reveal more about themselves and their audience than they even intend to, turning adolescent malaise into a friendly joke rather than a spiritual crisis.

Mine is handnumbered 2260/2500 so it appears the information that only 35 were handnumbered above 2500 is not correct. Mine is also a first pressing with the foreword by Mark.

This is your version:http://www.discogs.com/Blink-182-Take-Off-Your-Pants-And-Jacket/release/4513027#1-2500/2500 (-"normal" version of the 1st pressing of the reissue). Of course it also has the foreword and the black 12" aswell as the colored 7"es.The version you commented on, is numbered from 2501-2535/2500 (-"special" version, that kind of happened by accident).
GWEZJ
Do you have the colored 7"s?

This record has always been one of my favorite albums, i remember when it first came out and how often i would watch the first date video, at least three times a day. Were very happy when i got this feels like they did a very nice job with this, the attention to detail is fantastic, i have the foreword by Mark edition.
